We could not have asked for a more perfect October day for Mikayla and Jesse’s Holland, Michigan engagement photos! We started their session at the gravel pits in Holland nearby Boatwerks Waterfront Restaurant. I had seen photos of the gravel pits but have never been there before, so I’m happy Mikayla suggested this spot to start! I loved her black satin dress paired with Jesse’s classic black and white look. Also how cool is that jean jacket? It was a gift Becker’s Bridal gave her after she purchased her wedding dress there. So sweet!
After photos at the gravel pits, we traveled over to Holland State Park – one of my favorite locations for Holland, Michigan engagement photos. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, the water was the perfect shade of blue and the sunlight provided that romantic glow in the background.
I couldn’t have asked for a better end of summer engagement session. From this fun-loving couple and their adorable golden retriever puppy, Sawyer, who stole the show in several of these photos, I truly am so happy.
Mikayla and Jesse, I am very much looking forward to photographing your summer wedding at Bay Pointe next year. I can’t wait to see you again!
