The Planterra Conservatory Wedding Venue

About the Planterra Conservatory

The Planeterra Conservatory is the premier greenhouse wedding venue for the modern, engaged couple. This location is dedicated to the connection between our communities and nature alike. With the integration of many species of plant life and nature into the human experience, the Planterra company plays a significant role in providing tropical plant life to Detroit and nearby cities. This location is also dedicated to sustainability within the community and contains numerous sustainable features. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Recycling run-off water for irrigation
  • Earth-integrated site orientation for efficiency in energy
  • Passive solar and water heating
  • Ventilation system stacked for natural cooling and air circulation

The venue’s on-site weather system regulating all of these excellent venue features is even more incredible.

Details of the Grounds

At the Planterra Conservatory wedding venue, you can host both your ceremony and reception on-site and all in one place. Natural light surrounds and fills the conservatory. It is a stunning location if you want to be married during the daytime. This natural light also provides a beautiful opportunity to take wedding portraits. In addition, the fairy lights and chandeliers illuminate the conservatory at night for a magical scene. If you are thinking about planning your wedding later in the evening and into the night, a clear view of the stars above at night sets a breathtakingly romantic backdrop. This nighttime location allows you to utilize the fairy lights and backlighting for some stunning photographs. The wedding party can also use the bridal suite for the entire day! The dressing area in the suite is lovely for getting ready photos.

Wedding Details

The Planterra Conservatory wedding venue is highly versatile. With the capability to host about two hundred guests, you will also receive other features for your wedding day. These include food and beverage services, a stylist team, a timeline and layout planning, valet services, and a floral team. In your wedding planning process, you and your fiancé will sit with a consultant and begin to plan your entire day. This process starts with an initial consultation and planning and design appointment. From there, you will have a menu tasting, floral and rental sample appointment, and a final details appointment. Before you know it, your wedding day will be here!

Real Couples

One of my amazing wedding couples recently had a Planterra Conservatory wedding and absolutely loved it. They met in college at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan. The couple both played soccer, and I was the sports photographer at the college, which is how we connected. You may also recognize this beautiful couple from their engagement session at Stoney Creek Park. Alyssa, the bride, featured throughout this blog, created all the stationery for her wedding and has her own business if you are looking for another small business to support!
